This year, New South Wales will enforce a double demerits period over the Anzac Day Weekend. In this period, penalties for traffic charges will be more severe. This will run from Friday the 21st of April until Tuesday the 25th of April, inclusive. Fines will also be given out for these offences, and NSW Police will have extra officers patrolling the roads during the holiday period.
